VENI VENI EMMANUEL

Creation, human society and those in authority Lord of wisdom and justice, hearing our cry of prayer and knowing the reality of our politics, renew in us all a thirst for justice. May we cherish the earth, the oceans, and all the natural world. May wisdom rule from sea to sea, following the great rivers to the ends of the earth. Teach us the wisdom of restraint, and inspire us with a deep desire for the common good. May we renew our human institutions of government and society, making this world a fit place to receive your son, as folly bows down to truth. Lord, fill us with your holy spirit as in expectation we prepare the way of the Christ child: in your mercy, hear our prayer. Thanks to Lay Anglicana, sidebar http://www.layanglicana.org/blog/
