THANKS TO THE DAILY OFFICE: Morning Prayer - 21st Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 26; All Saints’ Sunday
Reward those who wait for you and let your prophets be found trustworthy.
INVITATORY AND PSALTER
Lord, open our lips. And our mouth shall proclaim your praise.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen. Alleluia.
Psalm 100 Jubilate
Be joyful in the Lord, all you lands; serve the Lord with gladness and come before his presence with a song.
Know this: The Lord himself is God; he himself has made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise; give thanks to him and call upon his Name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his faithfulness endures from age to age.
The earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it, * the world and all who dwell therein. For it is the LORD who founded it upon the seas * and made it firm upon the rivers of the deep. “Who can ascend the hill of the LORD? * and who can stand in God’s holy place?” “Those who have clean hands and a pure heart, * who have not pledged themselves to falsehood, nor sworn by what is a fraud. They shall receive a blessing from the LORD * and a just reward from the God of their salvation.” Such is the generation of those who seek the LORD, * of those who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, O gates; lift them high, O everlasting doors; * and glorious Sovereign shall come in. “Who is this glorious Sovereign?” * “The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle.” Lift up your heads, O gates; lift them high, O everlasting doors; * and the glorious Sovereign shall come in. “And who is this glorious Sovereign?” * “The LORD of hosts is the glorious Sovereign.”
